If you’ve been following along since the beginning, you know that we are expecting our third baby this fall. We are over the moon excited to welcome another little one to the family, especially because this time we are having a girl! It will definitely be a new experience for me as a mom of boys. I felt I really had this boy mom thing down well, I guess we will just have another learning curve ahead of us, time for another adventure!
When it comes to clothing, I have to admit that I do where my trusty black yoga pants and workout capris often, but do try my best to get “get dressed” a few times a week. I’m not big on maternity clothes in all honesty. I just really don’t like investing in items I can only wear for a few months. Ya know? Seems like a bad investment. I try to find pieces that I can wear before, during and after the pregnancy to get more use of the the items. It just seems to make more sense to me to purchase items I can wear for a long time frame.
This outfit has become one of my favs! I don’t think it will fit me the entire pregnancy but most likely will fit up until the 8/9th month. I can definitely wear all the pieces post delivery and keep for a long time.
First off the pants! Ooooh I love them! I wear them several times a week with different tops. They are leggings but are a little thicker and shorter in length so on my petite frame the look like pants, though I think on taller ladies, they may look a little like cropped leggings. They fit almost like a riding pant but have a nice thickness, feel and I love the seam down the front. It makes the pants look more dressier. I got them at Nordstrom Rack and they are not maternity pants. They fit well and wash and wear well.
The Blue shirt. It’s such a pretty blue! It’s a longer rayon fabric shirt so doesn’t wrinkle easily, packs well and just covers my bum 🙂 I usually wear a black long tank top underneath which has a slimming effect. The tank is from Target and is maternity, but I actually buy maternity tanks to wear with leggings because they are longer in length. So win-win! The blue shirt is from Stitch Fix and brand is Hawthrone.
Gold bracelet is JCrew Factory and gold necklace I can’t remember!
I love this outfit because it’s simple and comfortable, yet stylish and affordable! It makes a great everyday addition to your wardrobe. Happy shopping!
